Bedfordshire Music is a partnership between Bedfordshire County Council and the Bedfordshire Music Trust for the provision of instrumental tuition, ensembles, concerts, events and musical activities in schools and the wider community of Bedfordshire. Many of the teachers and students connected with Bedfordshire Music play for the Bedfordshire Orchestral Society

The Friends of Bedfordshire Youth Music, is an organisation of parents and friends who are interested in, and support the youth music orchestras and bands in Bedfordshire.  Many of the Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia musicians are now or have been members of these youth music groups.

The Luton Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Uwe Radok, presents interesting concerts of standard orchestral repertoire, and often provides a showcase for young Bedfordshire musicians in the role of concerto soloists. Many players from the Bedfordshire Symphony Orchestra and Sinfonia also play in the Luton Symphony Orchestra concerts.

The Luton Music Club promotes an annual series of concerts.  Unique amongst music clubs, the series extends to 23 concerts between October and March, and all of the concerts take place in the intimate, well-appointed and central venue of the Library Theatre. The concerts, which are largely of chamber and instrumental music (but also include song, opera and lighter classics), are given by top-class professional artists from the UK and abroad. -

Luton Youth Music exists to facilitate high quality and diverse musical experiences for all young people in the Luton area, and the Friends of Luton Youth Music help support the work done by the music service. Many members of the Luton Symphony Orchestra were former members of the Luton Youth Music Orchestra. Visit their comprehensive site to learn more about their varied activities.

The Luton Choral Society has been closely associated with the Luton Symphony Orchestra for many years, and both organisations have enjoyed many successful and fruitful performances together. Today, the Society has over 50 members, mostly drawn from Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, performing works from both the traditional repertoire as well as music by contemporary composers.
